Mr. Plane’s mom threw us our first shower this past weekend, and it was awesome, albeit occurring during a whirlwind of a weekend. Instead of recapping in words, I thought it would be more fun to do so in photos. So here we go!
(All photos personal.)
Everyone arrived and met each other…
BM Rocket meets Flower Girl R
We checked out some of the thoughtful details…
Flowers in our wedding colors!
…and then partook in some food.
I am thrilled about eating. Mr. Plane, not so much.
These cupcakes were phenomenal.
Flower Girl R liked them, too!
We went immediately into present opening!
Mr. Plane did a lot of unwrapping…
…I did a lot of clapping.
MOH Morticia meticulously recorded each gift…
…while Flower Girl E helped collect the bows for my rehearsal bouquet.
We thanked our guests…
…posed for photos…

…and then I did a little dance, since I was having so much fun.
No idea what is happening here.
We were in and out in less than 2 hours! From what I have heard, and experienced, some showers can take hours and hours. FMIL Plane was having none of that. I think this is the most efficient shower any of our guests had ever seen — and from the comments I got as everyone headed out the door, people were very appreciative of keeping the afternoon moving right along.
I’m so glad I had the opportunity to spend time with some of Mr. Plane’s female family members. We don’t get to see them often enough and I was actually a little embarrassed that I was meeting some of them for the first time. Better at the shower then on the wedding day, I guess!
Although I thanked FMIL Plane with a small gift at the shower, it definitely wasn’t enough to express my gratitude for putting such a great shower together — from the decorations, to the food, to the thoughtful touches, I truly could not have asked for a better day!
