Love is in the Air: The Formals

I know formal photos aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, so I won’t feel super sad if you skip this post. But there are some really cute kids at the end!

Planning to do our formal photos prior to the ceremony was one of the smartest decisions we made. It left so much time between the ceremony and the reception, which meant we actually got to enjoy our cocktail hour. There were quite a few people to organize, but luckily everyone was very cooperative and we were able to speed through them.

We started with some shots of the wedding party, and took a mix of fun and serious shots.

Then our families got in on the action.

Some of you may remember that I planned to have all of our nieces and our nephew in the wedding party. There were a couple of moments of pre-wedding panic regarding this decision (“What if there is a kid meltdown mid ceremony?!”), but I could never have imagined our wedding day without them. They were incredibly well-behaved for nearly the entire day, and I couldn’t have asked for a cuter bunch of kiddos.

All of the little people in the wedding party — they all did so great!

Once again, the timeline proved successful and we were wrapping up family photos when we got word that guests had begun to arrive. This was it — it was finally time to get married!
