Love is in the Air: The Beginning of a Ceremony

After we finished formal photos, we were hustled into the parlor of the church, out of the view of the arriving guests, to wait for the ceremony to start. Outside the church, guests were directed into the sanctuary, where they were greeted by the ushers and given a program (handmade by yours truly).

They also got the first look at the ceremony space, where Mama and MIL Plane did a fantastic job of decorating the oddly-colored room. Keep an eye out throughout the rest of the ceremony photos for more glimpses of the decor, including the runner that Mama Plane made — yes, you read that right, Mama Plane made us the most glorious aisle runner I’ve ever seen.

Back in the holding room, we didn’t have to wait long before the coordinator arrived to tell us it was time to line up for the processional.

The A/V tech had been given a CD of classical music to play while guests were arriving. It continued while the parents were seated: first, MIL Plane with Usher N…

…followed by Mama Plane with Usher D.

Once the parents and ushers were seated, we “called the ceremony to order” by playing our love story video, which I showed you in my first recap post.

Love this photo of Mama Plane — even though she had seen it before, the video definitely captured her attention!

As the video ended, Mr. Plane, who had been standing in the wings with Pastor Mark, made his way up to the front of the room.

More processing coming up next!
